Black Hills Works earns fifth Corporate Cup championship!

Once again, Black Hills Works took home the trophy from the YMCA Corporate Cup held April 30. I the past ten years, Black Hills Works has never finished below second place in the YMCA event, and this year, we earned our fifth championship in ten years. Thank you to everyone who participated in any of the events and special thanks to our recruiter extraordinaire Joe Burmeister.

Employee named Direct Support Professional of the Year

Black Hills Works service coordinator Lisa Batteen has been named 2015 Direct Support Professional of the Year for South Dakota by the American Network of Community Options and Resources.

Olympic Flame coming to Rapid City

The Special Olympics Flame of Hope will be in Rapid City June 22-23 on it's way from Athens to the World Games in Los Angeles.

BH Services receives grant for hydroponic gardening business

BH Services has received a $100,000 from SourceAmerica and its Ideas to Work Fund (IWF) whose purpose is to fund innovative and job ready projects that create jobs for people with disabilities, in this case hydroponic gardening. Black Hills Works has partnered with Gregson’s Gardens in hydroponic gardening.

Twisted Nightmares Haunted House

The Black Hills Works will host it's Twisted Nightmares Haunted House, Friday and Saturday, October 30 and 31 at Black Hills Works, 3603 Range Road.

Community Conversations: Conflict-Free Case Management

The Department of Human Services will be hosting community conversations around the state to discuss the conversion to Conflict-Free Case Management. The Rapid City meeting will take place February 2 at the Ramkota Convention Center.
