Volunteering enhances the services of Black Hills Works and enriches the lives of those we support by creating connections and opportunities.  Through community engagement, individuals can increase their involvement, contributions and accomplishments.  Whether receiving community volunteers or helping those we support to volunteer themselves, our Volunteer Coordination can help make it happen.  Groups and individuals are welcome.  Choose your passion, schedule, and setting.

VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHT:

Emma Mincks is the Volunteer of the Month. Emma volunteers in the Suzie Cappa Art Center on Range Road, and also serves on one of Black Hills Works committees, monthly. While Emma volunteers, you will certainly find her smiling, getting to know the people served, and being an all around help to Maryann and Susan. What an incredible addition she has been to the people served lives, staff, and Black Hills Works. We are thankful to have her! Thank you Emma for your dedication and love you bring each week!

HAVE A NEED:

As community members, the people we support are also looking for opportunities to contribute. Please keep us in mind if your group has a need for caring volunteers.  Many are currently volunteering for groups such as the Humane Society and Cornerstone Rescue Mission. Black Hills Works is also home to the Community Pride Lions Club where members work together on community service project.

Emma Mincks is the Volunteer of the Month

The most positive thing about my experience was meeting and knowing all of the residents that come every day. They were all so sweet and made me feel like family.
