Art Programs

Suzie Cappa pursued her passion for art while receiving services from Black Hills Works until her passing in 1997. In December 2001, the Suzie Cappa Art Center was established with the support of a family and other bequests.  It expanded to a downtown studio and gallery in 2013.  It continues to successfully support artists with all abilities to share their vision through the visual arts, music, dance and theatre.  This value-added program is made possible through community support.

There are many ways in which you can support the Suzie Cappa Art Center.

  • Visit our gallery and purchase artwork at our downtown location (722 St. Joseph St) or through www.suziecappaart.com
  • Donate art supplies by contacting Brad Winter at (605) 791-3578
  • Attend monthly Art Nights held the second Friday of each month.  See our calendar for specific dates.
  • Volunteer at the Suzie Cappa Art Center by contacting the Volunteer Coordinator, Audrey Nordine, at (605) 343-4550.
  • Use the Donate Now button to make a contribution to the careers of artists with all abilities through the Suzie Cappa Art Center.
